I see you!
In our "Our Time" classes this week we will continue to explore different animal sounds. Our Active Listening will be pigs this week! Your child will have fun both listening to the real pig sounds and then making their own pig sounds. We will do "Morning Song" again this week and will sing about all different animals and make the corresponding animal sound. We will make this a multi-sensory experience for them by adding pictures of the animals we sing about this week.
Also making a return this week? "Hickory Dickory Dock" both spoken and sung! We will do our special clapping as in weeks past, but this week we will also replace the clap with a "shh" sound and then "boom" and then we will share the woodblock and allow each child to play the woodblock in place of the clap/shh/boom! So much fun!
Our special Quiet Time will continue this week with the singing of "Hush Little Baby". Quiet Time is crucial for the children as it is easy to become over stimulated with all the movement, colors and sounds! Remember that relaxation is a learned technique which is why we do Quiet Time week after week! It is so important to teach our children that it is ok to take a break and to sit quietly for a few minutes.
Our classes this week will finish up with one of my favorite songs, "Bangara Dance"! We will get out our scarves and twist, jump, giggle and hide to this fun song!
Enjoy your week and I will see you soon!
